Michigan Caramel Apple Dip

Creamy, sweet and salty, this easy dip pairs a fluffy cream cheese base with rich caramel and crunchy Better Made potato chips. Serve with fresh Michigan apple slices or apple chips for a snack made for fall gatherings or game day.

Recommended Apple Varieties:
Red Delicious, Honeycrisp, Fuji, Gala

Servings: 8 servings
Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients
• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
• ⅓ cup caramel sauce or caramel ice cream topping, at room temperature
• ½ cup coarsely crushed Better Made Original Potato Chips, measured after crushing
• 4 large Michigan apples, cored and sliced

Instructions:
1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer,
beat until smooth, about 1 minute.

2. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla and heavy whipping cream. Beat for another 1–2
minutes, scraping down the bowl as needed, until smooth and fluffy.

3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in a shallow serving dish or pie plate.
Spoon the caramel over the top and gently spread it into an even layer.

4. Just before serving, sprinkle the crushed potato chips evenly over the caramel.
Leave some larger pieces for extra crunch.

5. Arrange the Michigan apple slices around the dip or on a separate platter and serve
immediately.

Make-ahead tip: Prepare the cream cheese base and caramel layer up to one day ahead. Cover and refrigerate. Add the potato chips and freshly sliced apples just before serving so everything stays crisp.
