Retailers will have more to celebrate this holiday season with the Michigan Apple Committee's Holiday Baking program.
According to recent data from the Perishables Group, people are most likely to bake with apples during the holiday season. Retailers can get the attention of those consumers with MAC's Holiday Baking program. Partners for the program are Chelsea Milling Company Jiffy Pie Crust Mix and T. Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip.
Specially-marked Michigan apple bags contain varieties that are great for baking – Ida Red, Jonathan and Rome. The bag also shows an easy 5-step recipe for apple pie, featuring partner products Jiffy Pie Crust Mix and T.Marzetti Caramel Dip. The consumer will also get a $0.55 off coupon for the caramel dip on the apple bag.
“We are very excited to offer our Holiday Baking program for the second year,” said Denise Yockey, Executive Director of the Michigan Apple Committee. “We hope retailers use this baking solution for their shoppers who are planning to do some holiday baking.”
The program kicks off November 1. Retailers can contact the Michigan Apple Committee or their Michigan apple shipper for more details.
The Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to promotion, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan apple and encourage its consumption by consumers in Michigan and around the world. For more information and recipes, visit MichiganApples.com.
