LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Apples will be making appearances at the Detroit Zoo’s Zoo Boo and Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo’s Spooky Zoo events. Zoo Boo will be during three weekends in October; the 6 through 8, 13 through 15 and 20 through 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. Spooky Zoo will be on Saturday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Being involved in these types of events increases the visibility of Michigan Apples in important target markets,” said Diane Smith, executive director of MAC. “We are excited to be a part of the Halloween fun!”
MAC will provide about 50,000 for the Detroit Zoo over the course of three weekends Zoo Boo takes place. Lincoln Park Zoo will also receive a donation of apples for their Spooky Zoo. The Michigan Apple Queen, Hannah Rasch, and the Michigan Apple Court, Michelle Alt, will be attending both events.
In addition, Michigan Apples will be at the Michigan Harvest Festival at Lansing’s Cooley Law School Stadium on October 28 from noon to 6 p.m.
