Frankenmuth, Mich. – Celebrate Michigan Apples and Bavarian delights at the Frankenmuth Festival parade. The 2005 Michigan Apple Queen and a new apple float will appear in the parade at the Frankenmuth Festival on Sunday, June 12 at 1 p.m. The float and the queen are sponsored by the Michigan Apple Committee.

The 2005 Michigan Apple Queen, Paula Fisher of Berrien Springs, along with first runner-up Emily Westendorp of Berrien Springs, and second runner-up Ashley Wright of Belding will be waving to the crowd from the Fairy Tale-themed 2005 Michigan Apple Industry Float, designed by 2003 Queen Janna Klein.

The Frankenmuth parade is one of more than a dozen events the apple industry's “royalty” will be involved in this summer.

The Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to promotion, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan apple and encourage its consumption by consumers in Michigan and around the world. For more information, visit www.michiganapples.com.
