DeWitt, Mich – The Michigan Apple Committee is pleased to present the updated 2006 Apple Festival Page complete with the 2006 Michigan Apple Queen's appearances. The Apple Festival Page is located on the Michigan Apple Committee website, www.MichiganApples.com under the “Consumer Section”.

This year there are 18 events for apple lovers beginning in June and running through to the end of October. There is also a wide array of activities from making your own cider to seeing the 2006 Michigan Apple Queen, Ashley Wright of Belding, in one of several parades that she will appear in this year.

“Apples are Michigan's largest fruit crop, which is why so many fairs and festivals feature apples,” said Denise Yockey, Executive Director of the Michigan Apple Committee.

The Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to promotion, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan apple and encourage its consumption by consumers in Michigan and around the world. For more information, visit www.MichiganApples.com.
