2007 Michigan Apple Queen Applications Available

Grand Rapids, Mich. – Applications for the Michigan Apple Queen Pageant are now available from the Michigan Apple Committee office. The annual pageant is held each December at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel during the Great Lakes Fruit Expo.

The Michigan Apple Queen Pageant for the 2007 Michigan Apple Queen will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. The queen and her court will spend a year participating in various parades, festivals, and events as representatives of the Michigan apple industry.

The pageant is presented by the Michigan Apple Committee and staged by the Michigan State Horticultural Society Auxiliary. Candidates for Michigan Apple Queen must be between the ages of 17 and 23, and must have a link to the industry. Contestants are judged on a number of features, including poise, professionalism and knowledge of the apple industry.
