Michigan Apple Juice Dip
This Michigan Apple Juice Dip is sweet, buttery and full of concentrated apple flavor. Serve it alongside Michigan Apple Empanadas or apple slices.

Apple Juice
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups apple juice1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Serving Size:
Makes approximately 1 cup of Michigan Apple Juice Dip
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt to a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Continue simmering for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apple juice has reduced by about half. This helps concentrate the apple flavor.
- Stir in butter until melted.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Slowly whisk the mixture into the simmering apple juice.
- Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring continuously, until the sauce has thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and heavy cream.
- Serve alongside Michigan Apple Empanadas or apple slices for dipping.
