Michigan Apples Marks the 10th Year of Sponsorship of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Chicago – For the 10th consecutive year, Michigan Apple Committee (MAC) will be a sponsor of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. The partnership began with the 2016 event.

The 47th running of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon takes place on Sunday, Oct. 12. The marathon is set to have over 53,000 participants and over a million spectators. Michigan Apples will be handed out to participants at the finish line.

“We’re excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with Michigan Apple,” said Bank of America Chicago Marathon Executive Race Director Carey Pinkowski. “For the last ten years, Michigan Apple has provided Bank of America Chicago Marathon finishers the opportunity to refuel post-race with a sustainably produced and locally sourced healthy treat.”

In addition to race day, MAC will also exhibit at the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo in the days leading up to the race.

“The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is a key partnership for Michigan Apples,” said Diane Smith, executive director of the Michigan Apple Committee. “It helps us reach the Chicago market, as well as health-focused consumers from around the world.”
