As Vice Chair of the Michigan Apple Committee, a member of the U.S. Apple board, and co-owner of Hart Farm, LLC with her husband, Chris, Kimberly brings care, dedication, and steady leadership to every part of the job. On the farm, that means overseeing the IPM program, guiding food safety audits, coordinating H-2A worker registrations, managing payroll, and making sure every detail is in place for a successful crop. Beyond the orchard, she carries growers’ voices to Washington, D.C., meeting with lawmakers and advocating for the future of family farms.

Their influence inspires Kimberly to keep learning, keep showing up, and keep reaching back to encourage young women who are finding their place in agriculture.

She’s proud of the industry she represents and passionate about helping others get started. Her advice to the next generation is heartfelt and simple: get involved early through organizations like 4-H and local FFA chapters, ask questions, and take every opportunity that comes your way.

Today and every day, we’re grateful for leaders like Kimberly who help our apple community grow stronger. 🌸
