Processed products offer a variety of ways to enjoy apples

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Apple processors are located all over Michigan, offering a variety of fresh and flavorful apple products, including snacks and beverages, which can be found at your local grocery stores.

Michigan Apples can be found fresh in the produce section, as well as fresh sliced apples that come from an apple processor. In the snack aisles, Michigan Apples can be found in applesauce and apple chips, the baking aisle includes apple puree and pie filling, or you can buy pre-made apple pies, all of which come from apple processors.

Processors also produce beverages, including apple juice and apple cider made from Michigan Apples. Hard apple ciders for adults made from Michigan Apples that are produced at cideries and distilleries across Michigan. Many of these products can also be found at grocery stores.

Most processed apple products boast the same health benefits as fresh apples. About 50% of apples produced in Michigan are processed into these products.
