Michigan Apples Taking Fall Back

MAC competes for fall flavor crown with social media campaign

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Apple Committee (MAC) is encouraging fans and followers to participate in their social media campaign, “Take Back Fall” – a friendly competition asking consumers to take sides on what they consider to be the “flavor of fall.”

The campaign began September 1 and can be found on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Social media users will have the chance to take sides on their favorite fall products and are encouraged to vote #MIApples with a photo of their favorite way to enjoy Michigan Apples.

“This campaign is a fun way to engage consumers through a friendly rivalry with pumpkin flavors,” said Diane Smith, executive director of MAC. “There’s so much consumer excitement around the fall season, it’s fun to get Michigan apple fans talking about it online.”

Consumers can search Michigan Apples to find the posts and share how they are enjoying fall’s fun and tasty traditions. Whether from the grocery store, coffee shop or farm market, tag #MIApples to show off favorite ways to enjoy Michigan fruit. MAC hopes apple lovers everywhere will rally up to prove to their social media followers that Michigan Apples truly are the perfect fall treat.

Spread the word using #MIApples and show your friends and family why other fall flavors don’t stand a chance next to a locally grown, fresh, juicy and crisp Michigan Apple.

The Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to marketing, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan apple and encourage its consumption in Michigan and around the world. For more information, visit www.MichiganApples.com.
