Michigan Apple Queen Application Deadline Extended

Lansing, Mich. – Applications for the 2005 Michigan Apple Queen Pageant will be accepted until October 31, according to the Michigan Apple Committee.
The pageant will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo in Grand Rapids. Contestants must have some link to the Michigan Apple industry, and must be between the ages of 17 and 23.
The annual Michigan Apple Queen pageant is sponsored by MAC and staged by the Michigan State Horticultural Society Auxiliary, with contributions from many industry organizations. Contestants are judged on a number of features, including poise, professionalism and knowledge of the apple industry.
