Michigan Apple Committee Celebrates National Ag Week

To celebrate MAC hosts an event at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Lansing, Mich. – This week, the Michigan Apple Committee sponsored an event at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to celebrate National Ag Week. MAC supported the consumption of Michigan Apples while celebrating the vital role of agriculture in the United States.

The event at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis was the first event in the multi-event partnership between the two organizations. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is the world’s largest children’s museum, a partnership such as this will help inform kids and parents alike of the benefits of eating Michigan Apples.

As part of MAC’s work to boost consumer marketing and increase consumption of Michigan Apples, MAC has expanded the number of planned consumer events from 8 to 22 for 2025. These family-friendly, health-focused events are a great way to have face-to-face interaction with our target audience, which supports the messaging we communicate online.

“These types of events are what helps boost brand awareness to the consumer,” said Diane Smith, executive director of the Michigan Apple Committee. “We have more than doubled the number of planned events from last year, which was one of our goals for 2025.”

More events are coming this year including events in Detroit, Indianapolis and Chicago. These events help reach the target markets of Michigan Apples.

The Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to marketing, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan Apple and encourage its consumption in Michigan and around the world. To learn more, visit MichiganApples.com.
