History of the Michigan Apple Queen

The Michigan Apple Industry crowned a Michigan Apple Queen every year from 1952 through 2024, celebrating over 70 years of tradition. The Michigan Apple Committee is proud to have supported the queen program for over seven decades and values its rich history of honoring outstanding representatives of Michigan’s apple industry.

Starting in 2025, the Michigan Apple Queen program was replaced by the Michigan Apple Scholarship program. This new initiative reflects MAC’s continued commitment to supporting the future leaders of Michigan’s apple industry.
