Candy Coated Apples
- 4 medium Michigan Apples
- 4 wooden craft sticks
- 1 package (6 oz., 1 cup) milk chocolate morsels
- 1 teaspoon shortening
- 1/2 cup toasted coconut, optional
Per serving (based on 1 apple)
Total Fat 15g
Wash and thoroughly dry Apples. Remove stems. Insert wooden stick into stem end of each Apple. Set aside.
In microwave or small saucepan, over low heat, melt together chocolate and shortening, stiring constantly. Remove from heat. Spread evenly over Apples and sprinkle with coconut, if desired. Place on waxed paper lined baking sheet. Cool at room temperature until set.
