Lansing, Mich. – To go along with a new logo and web site facelift, the Michigan Apple Committee (MAC) has created new in-store signage for retailers, to better inform consumers of the state's unique flavor and natural environment.
Supermarkets, grocery stores and farm markets all have access to the point-of-sale signs, which show beautiful Michigan Apples against a background of the Lake Michigan shoreline. The signs are for 14 popular varieties of Michigan Apples, as well as Michigan Apple Cider, Michigan Apple Pie, and Michigan Apple Baked Goods.
“Our new signs were designed based on data and marketing strategies developed in our relationship with the Perishables Group,” said Michigan Apple Committee Executive Director Denise Yockey. “We learned the key information that apple consumers want is about the apples' flavor and usage. We've taken the consumers' interests and included them in our attractive new signs.”
Retailers may obtain signage by calling MAC at (800) 456-2753. Additional point-of-sale materials in a coordinating design will be forthcoming as MAC implements the market message across all of its materials.
