Golden Delicious Apple Peanut Butter Nachos
Ready in just 5 minutes and kid-friendly! A delicious snack, from Amanda Hernandez, author of The Nutritionist Reviews.
Many recipes are in-depth, require many ingredients and take a long time to make. This recipe is so simple that I made it with my two-year-old. It is the perfect recipe to get kids involved in the kitchen. The hard part was making sure that my daughter didn't touch it before I got a few pictures in!! It is important to get kids involved in the kitchen and this recipe is a great way to do so. Of course, it is a great snack, appetizer or dessert for adults as well!
Apple peanut butter nachos is a take on regular nachos with all of the fun toppings. For this recipe, I used fresh Michigan Golden Delicious apples which were perfect. If you do not like peanut butter, you can use almond butter or cashew butter. Or, you could even swap it for a drizzle of caramel. The key is using a nut butter that is drizzly so that it drizzles easily onto the apples.
For the chocolate and peanuts, I just roughly chopped them on a cutting board. It worked well for this recipe! I used dark chocolate and roasted peanuts. It was such a fun snack for my daughter and I to share together. We both loved it!
