Michigan Apples and Potatoes Scalloped

Ingredients:
  • 2 medium-sized Michigan Apples
  • 4 medium-sized Michigan potatoes
  • 3 T flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 2 T chopped onion

Pare potatoes and apples; slice thin. Cut sausage in small pieces. Make white sauce with flour and milk. Put half the potatoes and apples in greased 2 quart casserole; cover with half the white sauce, seasonings, onions and sausage. Add remaining potatoes, apples, seasoning, onions and sausage, then remaining sauce. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and continue baking until top is browned.
