(DeWitt, Mich.) – Got a recipe with apples that your family and friends rave about?  If so, you’re in luck.  Michigan Apple Committee (MAC) is going in search of some of the best recipes featuring apple varieties grown in the Great Lakes State.

Amateur cooks are encouraged to visit MichiganApples.com/contests for details on how to submit their favorite apple recipe in the 3rd Annual Michigan Apple Recipe Contest.  Winners will receive a Kitchen Aid® gourmet mixer.

“We’re looking for tried-and-true recipes that showcase the versatility of Michigan-grown apples,” said Denise Donohue, MAC executive director.

Past winners have included Cheesy Apple Quiche, Roasted Rome and Feta Salad, and Apple and Sausage Frittata.
